Biography

Dr. Fox has been a physician in the Charlottesville area since 1994. Originally from New Jersey, he did his undergraduate training at Yale University. Dr. Fox went to medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received the Anna Marie Chirico Prize for distinguished work in primary care. Afterwards, he moved to Charlottesville to complete his postgraduate training in internal medicine at the University of Virginia. Before starting his private practice, he served for five years in the National Health Service Corps at Central Virginia Community Health Center in Buckingham, Virginia, while simultaneously working as Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at UVA. Dr. Fox has received numerous honors and recognitions including the American College of Physicians Virginia Young Internist of the Year award in 2010, the Paul Florentino Volunteerism Award in 2013, and the Richard Neubauer Advocate for Internal Medicine Award in 2014. Dr. Fox is currently Chair-elect of the American College of Physicians, the largest medical specialty society in the United States. In addition to internal medicine, he has a special interest in aesthetic medicine, including minimally invasive cosmetic techniques such as Botox and soft tissue fillers.
